Lecture/Recital at The University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music Adam Hayes and pianist Kris Carlisle will present "The Lyrical Trumpet Voice: Addressing Performance Challenges in the Trumpet Works of Three Twenty-First Century Compositions for Trumpet and Piano" at the UC College-Conservatory of Music on June 24, 2010.
Spivey Hall Children's Choir Concert Adam is excited to perform with The Spivey Hall Children's Choir on their feature concert at the 2010 Chorus America Convention in Atlanta, 6/17/10. He will perform Cantate Domino (Ruth Watson Henderson) with the choir, Dr. Martha Shaw, conductor. The piece will be recorded the following week for the choir's upcoming album.
World Premiere - A Sketch of Monochrome On April 22, 2010, Adam Hayes and pianist Kris Carlisle will premiere the latest work by composer Steven Landis. A Sketch of Monochrome (2010) was commissioned by Hayes and Carlisle; the premiere is the highlight of a collaborative recital given at Berry College. 7:30 p.m., Ford Auditorium.
Lecture & Master Class at The University of New Mexico On March 12, 2010, Adam will return to The University of New Mexico in Albuquerque to present a lecture on careers as an independent musician. B.J.E. Presents: An Evening with Melvin Jones The Berry College Jazz Ensemble will host jazz trumpeter Melvin Jones on Thursday, November 13, 2008. The concert will feature a wide variety of contemporary arrangements for jazz ensemble, many of which will accompany the renowned trumpeter. The concert will be held in Ford Auditorium on the Berry Campus at 7:30 p.m., and will also be recorded for public television.

Governor's Honors Program 2008 Adam joins the faculty of the Georgia Govenor's Honors Program again this summer where he teaches in the music department. The summer program is designed to provide intellectually gifted and artistically talented high school students of Georgia challenging and enriching educational opportunities.

Regional Premiere In recital on April 15, 2008, Adam will perform the regional premiere of Lament, Song, and Prayer, a new piece by composer Mark Francis. The collaborative recital with renowned pianist Dr. Kris Carlisle, will take place on the Berry College Campus and feature works by American Composers.
Featured Soloist with Rome Symphony On March 30, 2008, Adam will perform the Haydn Trumpet Concerto with the Rome Symphony Orchestra. Plans are being made to record an educational DVD of the concert. Visit the Rome Symphony website here.

Georgia District 7 Jazz Clinic Adam has been invited to serve as a clinician for Georgia's District 7 Jazz Clinics in 2008. The event will be held in Rossville, GA, January 4th -5th.
G.A.J.E. Clinic (fall 2007) Adam will serve as a clinician for the Georgia Association of Jazz Educators Annual Jazz Clinic. This year's clinic will be held on the campus of North Georgia College & State University November 30 - December 1. G.A.J.E. is a regional affiliate of The International Association for Jazz Education.
Adam joins faculty of Berry College Beginning in August 2007, Adam will be teaching in the music department at Berry College in Rome, GA. His duties will include teaching the trumpet studio and conducting the Berry Jazz Ensembles. "Berry College is recognized as one of the most outstanding comprehensive colleges in the South."
Regional Premiere Adam will perform the regional premiere of Brandon Hendrix's Anniversary Portrait for Trumpet and Piano on a faculty collaborative recital at North Georgia College & State University, February 22, 2007. This recital marks the second-ever performance of the piece.
